Mood lighting

Does anybody know what the bulb size is for the mood lighting and what bulbs they are, i want to change the colour but i have no idea what size bulb it would be, im sure ive asked this before but cant find the thread.. :confused:

They are W5W (owner's manual, page 198 ); I'm not sure, but I think they use a coloured lens, not coloured bulbs.

I've just had a look at mine & yes, they are coloured lenses. The footwell lights look very much like they use the same moulding as the boot light. The centre one, I've no idea - I can't see how you'd get to the bulb. . . maybe the radio has to come out!

The centre one of mine doesn't work, it flickers on when you go over a bump or bang the centre console with your hands......going to have to take it into the garage for them to have a look at

RIghty ill be having a look at modding them, Maybe some light blue ones or white ish if i can get them and get them in the car.

It's the same orangey glow as the cd-player, bit more subtle.

We have been through this all before, you can't access the centre lamp through the radio aperture, from what we've been able to find out the whole centre section has to be removed.

Can't say if the other 2 fittings are the same as the boot as I haven't taken that one apart, I know that SiM22 has, maybe he'll have a better idea if they are the same fitting, just with different coloured lenses.

DaveB is correct they are W5W bulbs and they are plain bulbs, not coloured

Just to add my bit, the boot lense and the foot well lense are not the same.

The one in the boot i think is a tad smaller, not too sure at the moment. Will double check tomorrow at work and get back to you
