I'm not too keen on the narrow wheel look at the back and can't afford to change the wheels for wider, is it possible to put wheel spacers just on the rear wheels and if so what sort of width before it goes pear shaped? Many thanks

Have you got the Bellones on your DS3? I've never thought they looked narrow on mine. How much wider are you after? Anything that goes wider than the arch is illegal AFAIK.DS3 DSport eHDi 145 - Stage 1 with K&N - Shark Grey & Infinite Blue

10mm should be good, could go up to 15mm I believe. Just remember to get longer wheel bolts to match.

You could put 10mm on front and rear with no problems, unless the car has extremely lowered suspension in which case the fronts might rub but rears will be fine.

I've never thought about this before and it's not something I will end up doing, but I'm really interested in seeing the results of this. Keep us posted and get some pics up of the before and after.DS3 DSport eHDi 145 - Stage 1 with K&N - Shark Grey & Infinite Blue

Before going for them, just make sure you park on full lock and measure the gap perpendicular to the wheel to make sure you can handle another 15mm. As I said before, I know 10 is fine, not certain about 15.

Thats why I'm sticking to 10, 15 would be nice but I don't want 'issues'. I take it the cheap ones are no good as I see a pair on ebay with bolts for just £30

Another option (although expensive) is wider tyres. If you look up tyre width calculators the recommended tyre width for a 7j width rim is a 215 width tyre, and the minimum is 205 which Citroen fit. This will give you an extra 10mm straight away and better protection from kerbing your rims! Obviously someone would probably only go down this route if they needed new tyres though!
