Painting chrome parts balck

hi, I was thinking about painting/changing the chrome parts on my ds3 to match the black roof. I’m unsure what I need to do with my insurance as when I called to say I was going to do it they said it was “high risk” and that they probably wouldn’t be able to make the change. Do all the ds3 Dsport+ Come with chrome side panels and mirrors etc or could you get them black from the factory ? I don’t want to spray them and then void my insurance. Any advice is much appreciated.

wow. never heard that before- ive painted parts on numerous cars and its never involved adising the insurance
