Remap vs tuning box

Hi, Im looking to remap my ds3 eventually once this lockdown ends but I'm hearing different things between a ECU remap or getting a tuning box just to install in. I wanted to know if anyone can help me tell the difference and which one is better to do.

If it’s a 1.6 hdi then the box is a nightmare to fit. Got to remove the battery and the tray and then you need to have tiny hands to get to the fuel pressure sensor. I would go with remap
