    V-Maxx Coilovers - Results [DS3 THP]

    Hi all,

    Just wanted to share the results you can get with VMaxx Coilovers. Got mine installed today and can't express how happy I am.

    Quick lowdown:

    - Car model is DS3 1.6THP DSport (51mm Strut Diameter)
    - Bought coilovers from R-Tec Shop for £464 (price matched to DC Performance's price) and additional an £51 for shortened drop links
    - Fitted at Suspension Secrets in Knutsford with alignment for £660 (maybe overpriced, but they know what they're doing and I'd rather have them fitted by people who know what they're doing than the local random garage down the road)
    - I don't know the exact amount it's been lowered, but I doubt anyone would want to go lower than I have it so should be enough for most haha.

    Driven around with them for about 50 miles since they were fitted and apart from a slightly harsher ride than standard (to be expected) I can't fault them. Haven't tried cornering at speeds yet, but I didn't buy them for performance, mainly for looks.

    Can't recommend VMaxx enough. Will update this post in the future with further reviews after more mileage.

      Wow, Looks really good, and low- got rid of that big wheel arch gap

        Thanks Chris! So, I've taken it around a few slip road corners on the daily commute and while it definitely feels more planted, I don't know whether it's the placebo effect or if it's actually handling better haha. I definitely feel more confident taking corners at higher speeds though so I guess that's a bonus!

        No unusual knocks or bangs while driving or at full lock etc. Obviously taking speed bumps while clenching my cheeks super tight though haha!

        It transforms the look of the car considerably though. The garage that fitted the coilovers even admitted they didn't expect it to look as good as it did when they finished it. Planning to purchase new alloys as a xmas present from me to me soon. Will update below if I get them <3

          UPDATE

          Just had Bola CSR wheels fitted. 8" x 17". Needed 10mm spacers for inside clearance. Pretty much done.
