  • 150+ bhp ds3 dstyle

Me and my friend who is a mechanic have been talking and we think we could get my ds3 dstyle up to 150 bhp. We propose to swap out the air filter for a K&N
Hight lift cat cams and a remap to pull it all together. Would love to hear what you think and if you think it's possible.

Cams should get around 20hp, the remap around 10hp, filter and cat probably 5hp. Cams are great for track cars, not so for road cars... It will run lumpy as hell at idle.

Miltek exhaust with HKS highflow cat, Forge intercooler, hard pipe kit, induction kit, oil catch tank, , VAG BOV, Stage 3 SPT remap 217 BHP

So we were right with our 150bhp target then, do you wouldn't recommend the cams then.
My mate has them on his Saxo and seems to be okay at idle, saying that I don't know a lot abou cars lol

Is It the 120 Vti Or The 90 HDi ?

If he's pushing for 150, my guess would be the VTI.

If all else fails, just drop a 150 THP in there..

The 90HDi Will Reach 150+ Easily With A Decent Exhaust, Intake, Larger FMIC, DPF Removal, Uprated / Hybrid Turbo And A Remap...

And the same thing wouldn't happen pushing an extra 60BHP out of a 90HDi? xD

In all fairness the modifications he's looking to make are probably going to cost a lot less than the couple of extra grand it would be for the Dsport engine.

I suppose that depends on if it's being declared on his insurance though

Actually sick of people saying buy the Dsport!!!
Would of if they made it in an auto but they don't and I can't drive manuals because I'm in a wheelchair.

You could always do what I used to do when I was younger with my mum in the car and sit someone in the passenger seat all the time with you and get them to change gears...?

It's not the gears that the problem can't move my legs at all so it would be the clutch I would have problems with, have
hand controls for the brake and throttle but they don't make one for clutch so I'm stuck with autos boo

I'm aware of the problems, it was my attempt at a joke :P I have an auntie who uses hand-control also.

Maybe you could attach a broomstick to your elbow to dip the clutch?
