        A splitter should cleanly divide the air going under the car from the air going over. After it goes under the car you would want it flow as quickly and cleanly as possible out the back. This helps to create downforce. There is some law of fluid dynamics that covers it. I only have a very basic idea of vehicle aerodynamics.

          What about trying scrap yards for the cupra spliter? If they still let you in? I use to with the punto, a place of many MK2's lol

            Ino this is an old thread but does the splitter need modifying to fit the ds3 or is it pritty much a straight swap ??

                The Leon Cupra R splitter fits OK, but about 3 inches trimmed off each end, and the curve below the headlight area doesn't quite follow the car edge, but it doesn't show. Hint- if you fit one, work from the centre out, either way
