    Placeholder for my future mods

Just ordered my rear light surrounds from J Nicol and booked my car in for some wrapping on the 15th June ready for the National

    Plans:

    Black Gloss rear light surrounds
Matt Black carbon wrap on the front grill and below
    Leon Cupra MK1 front splitter
DS3R front grill (if the wrap doesn't turn out any good)
Remap and DPF delete - awaiting update to get go ahead on DPF removal before getting the remap
Boot re-build for Subwoofer and amp installation

no pics modded pics just yet, but I will get some put up when I've had the wrapping done

Ello mate. Out of interest how are u going to go about painting the rear light surrounds. I know it is a pain going over chrome

My guess is that the surrounds come un-painted. I'm also assuming these are being wrapped which should be a lot easier than spraying.

The bloke who's wrapping the grill is going to do the chrome surrounds - £10 each, much less hassle than painting them, and I'll also get to see whether I prefer the white or black gloss before they're fitted.

£65 for the front grill to be wrapped which is a no brainer, the carbon looks relatively good when I had a piece in-situ; if I'm not happy with it I can just opt to buy the DS3R grill at a later date if & when I get an intercooler.

***Has anyone else got their grill wrapped, or discussed with a company how they'd go about doing it?***

Bloke I've spoke to is trying to keep it as neat as possible i.e. one piece of vinyl, but the corners on each side where the grill goes in could cause some probs; it leaves a smallish triangle in one of the crevices, but it's not visible unless you get on your knees and look! decisions decisions >_<

Ah cool. Think I will have to look for a decent place in Hertfordshire about getting some bits on mine wrapped

Have you thought about having the rear diffuser wrapped to match the grill?

Would the vinyl not lift due to exhaust heat?

Don't know but it'd look good. Kind of tie it all together. Then possibly the baguettes and wing mirror covers. Come to think about it, it'd look quite good on mine with it being double black. Oh no, here we go again modding.

Where are you getting the wrapping done? Not far from me and sounds quite reasonable.

It's a place in bury about 20 minute drive from Rochdale, if you're interested in maybe doing a group-buy sort of thing let me know - unless of course you want to see how mine turns out first :P

That price is with the decent stuff aswell from Helix vinyls - apparently according to mixed reviews, some say it's as good as if not better than the 3M stuff.

I'm booked in the day before the national meet which is the 15th June (a friday) - dropping the car off at about 9am and probably end up sticking around and nattering to car-audio installer who works out of the unit.

Let me know and I'll get in touch with the bloke who's doing it, so he can order more vinyl in on the day

£65 for Front Grill and chrome lip below
£10-15 - Chrome rear light surrounds
£??? will find out the cost of the rear diffuser on the day, if it's reasonable I'll have it done

If you're interested mate I will go and meet him today, to get a proper price set in stone

Sounds like a plan, if you could ask him about the baguettes and wing mirror's it'd be appreciated.
