I'm going to go against the grain here and say if it's done properly, it looks great.
People tend to just rip out any free stickers they get from any car magazine they can get their hands on. That's when it looks shit, when your car's covered in Maxiis and Max Power stickers..cyclone> Fish is the manComment

theres a wee tube in my town with a polo and he has the bonnet and roof covered and it looks pants! Though they are mainly max power type stickers as mentioned!
