I have this fitted on my THP. Great sound and easy to fit.

I fitted it because of the issues that can happen with the standard valve.

      This is from Forge's Website.

"The problem is that diaphragm retaining ring is made from very thin plastic that goes brittle with heat cycles, and eventually fails...." & "This particular failure can also result in the valve falling apart upon removal from the turbo, and in extreme cases, we have heard of bits of plastic entering the turbo resulting in serious damage."

After reading this and already hearing about issues with the DS3's Turbo, i thought that this would be money well spent, and it has been.

I have noticed less MPG however since fitting the valve. Only a slight difference however when accelerating through the gears, this is obviously due to the Turbo having to replace that dumped air. No difference in performance.

Recirculation valves do the same job, apart from the dumped air goes back into the turbo. Again no performance gains.

      Hope this helps

So its the same as fitting a playing card with a washing peg on ya bike wheels when you were a kid............it makes a bit of noise, and makes you feel like your actually going faster...........even if you not.

Think I'll stay standard, well that and I know bog all about car engines.

Half the time you can't hear it over the radio. However you struggle to not change gear without a PSSSHH because the turbo seems to kick in at around 1500rpm lol.

Pedestrians seem to love it though. Either that or they think I'm a TW*T. (I'm gonna go with the first option though)

                No.

On topic, an Uprated valve reduces turbo lag, so there is a plus
