Why is the hdi better, in what way? .....I thought the thp would be quicker as it is a petrol?

What do you mean depending on what I want to do?

thp is quicker but has its problems every 1 in so many cars fair few mods out for it at moment. mods all depend on how much u wanna spend on it etc. hdi is quick , u get more mpg etc so its all swings n roundabouts between thm eventually

Go to your local dealer take the THP for a test drive, then take the HDI out for a test drive* and make your own mind up which is better.

Also, take a look at this and this

*It is also possible to take the HDI out before the THP.

Quicker is easy and obvious the THP is much quicker and both engines fairly simple to remp for more performace. As a VTi driver you need to drive an HDi to see if you like the narrower powerband of a diesel though as they are different to drive compared to a petrol engine.

Better to modify or better overall is just a judgement call based on your own personal criteria. What do you need? a town car a runabout a weekend club racing warrior a grand tourer?

It depends what you want from the car. If you wanna go quick get a thp. If you wanna go on about mpg then get the Diseasel.

Lol, you can't beat the feeling of dispatching Focus ST's, Renaultsport Clios, Mini Cooper S's and JCW's and others, you can't do that in a diesel...

THP no contest. look at the stats and feel the response
Only the Racing is quicker- unless you tinker of course
But that can lead to all sorts
