  • Wrapping of Chrome Body Parts

Hey guys I've been trying to find a company that would be able to wrap the chrome body parts of my DS3 in black (not carbon)to go with the Red body colour as i think it would look nice, that means the chrome going around the grille at the front, wing mirrors and maybe badges if thats possible?
Does anyone know a good place that would be able to do that?

      My plan too

My DS3 Racing has far too much chrome for my liking

Like zack says there are loads of places that will do it shop around. I asked about 8 places for a glossy black wrap of my chrome front grill. They all came back with prices around £120. One bloke who had never heard of a ds3 said £40. Decided to go with him but well, that was over a month ago and he still hasnt phoned because his workshop has no electricity or some rubbish. Some of us with business sense might hire a generator something probably why he quoted £40 anyhow. Now I have spray cans of the correct black Citroen use I may spray, its just getting to them pesky chrome bits

                Have you tested it?

I was thinking of doing my side mirrors with it... bad idea?

Was in not just because of the break dust on the wheels and the heat of the engine?

Hey guys thanks for the comments managed to find a local place about 20mins away called APM and I'm just waiting on a quote from them, however I was looking at getting the badges done also they've said they could do the front one the square ds logo easily enough and on the back do the DS part but not the 3 or the citroen as he thinks it maybe too fiddley of a job. How easy is it to de badge the citroen at the back of the car without leaving any damage as that's maybe something to look into and just leave the DS3 badge on and try to get them to at least do the DS3 Badge in blackor has anyone had experience in this maybe yourselves Zack, bensDS3?

I've debadged the front and the back.

The D S both have pins in so would mean filling and painting the boot.

The front is the hardest but the back you can simply swipe a credit card under the letters and they will fall off then some sort of cleaner to remove and black residue.

Theirs a few pictures in my sig to see what you think... most don't like it with out the front badge

Cheers Rickzayne just had a quick blimp at yours like the back where the citroen badge is gone and the DS badge remains that's what I'm after will get the front badge and grille wrapped and then the DS badge wrapped too but remove citroen off the back, so long as the CItroen doenst have any holes behInd It lIke the other badges??. What sort of cleaning liquid did you use after you removed yours and did it not leave any ghosting of the letters on your paint? Not through glue just where the letters had been ontop of the paint. Having a red ds3 makes me a little worried regarding that side.
