Accelerator foot rest

Coming from a VW with cruise control I am going to miss the right foot (accelerator) rest. When I get my car on Monday I am going to have a look at how easy it is to fabricate a rest. As anybody seen a retrofit one already available and/or considered a solution yet?

I just know how annoying it is trying to find a comfortable place to put your right foot in a small foot well when you are 6'1".

This may seem like a silly suggestion, but there has been talk on the forum about the left foot rest that is"too big" for r'hand drive cars.
Why not get one of these wide footrests, split it in half lengthwise, then fit one half on the lefthand foot rest (with the cut edge against the centre console) and then use the remaining half to create a righthand footrest.

I've asked my dealer to see if he can give me one as I haven't taken delivery yet, if he does I'll try it.
