I hear the cheapest option will be to buy the VTi cabrio and use the rear lights from that, instead of buying them separately as parts.

What you see in that picture is what's called a Production Mule. It's the pre-production run through which is tested before launch.

The other opinion is that the 'fancy' lights (no I still don't have a part no.!) may only appear on the top spec version.

Very good news about the lights. I went to the Belgian carconfigurator and on the Sportchic and the Ultra Prestige they are already standard when you order a DS3 (not cabrio). For the other versions they are a 300 euro option. So very sure this will be just an easy swap imo

What about this then... Rear LED lamps are an option on regular DS3s. How do I know? I was killing time browsing on the Citroen.fr website and playing about with the configurator I discovered that you can specify LED rear lamps. Cost 300€ i.e £240. I would reckon that at that price they are a straight swap from the regular lamps but I would also reckon that you could double the price if ordering as a spare part. Off to play with the UK configurator!!!!
