So suspension and tyre sizes will make a difference
Think some people have reported the effect even with OEM Wheels/tyres
Mines not lowered but does have non-standard wheels on half the time-although the sizing appears good for the DS3 spec
Will have to check the tyres out if I ever put my foot down then
Funny enough theres a weird vibration at a certain high speed that lasts for about 6-7mph then goes. Thought that may be the non-standard wheels

Every time you or anyone deviates from the factory fit/specifications regarding wheels, tyres and suspension, and fit wheels of a different diameter size, a different ET (einpresstiefe) commonly referred to as "offset" tyres of different sizes, and fit aftermarket suspension kits, this all alters the suspension geometry, you must accurately readjust the suspension geometry to counteract the effects from the alteration of fitting any of the above as a whole package or individually.

Your vibration will be caused by inaccurate wheel/tyre imbalance, make sure your tyre pressures are equal when cold and have your wheels rebalanced to a zero tolerance by a reputable company, and do NOT allow them to use knock on balance weights, as knock on balance weights do two things, they damage your alloy lip, and lift the tyre side wall away from the alloy, and as the tyre grows from rotational speed, it allows a very small amount of air to escape, always insist on sticky weights designed specifically for alloys, and the surface must be clean free from grease and dust, otherwise they will come off, and if you intend to track your DS3 then cover the weights with a strip of duck tape, this will prevent them coming off, if/when you enter the kitty litter (gravel traps)

OK- Will get all checked, Can you recommend a reputable company to check out my wheels/tyres?
When buying the wheels was told the offset was correct for the DS3- meant nothing to me mind

Sadly I can't recommend a reputable company for you, maybe check out some of the well known high street companies, just be careful, as a lot will not let you view the work they carry out, you have to think, what have they got to hide! Just go with your gut feeling on the answers you get to your questions, and don't be fobbed off with kiddology, and if you get offered Nitrogen as an alternative fill for your tyres to regular compressed air which contains (78% nitrogen) then make sure they know how to completely vacuum the air out within your tyre/s before commencing with the Nitrogen refill, if they tell you anything like, it's not necessary or they don't (can't) do it, your paying for regular compressed air!

As the Nitrogen refill will be diluted by the remaining air not vacuumed from your tyre/s giving you the dilution ratio of air we breath, 78% Nitrogen and 20% oxygen, the benefits of Nitrogen are, reduced pressure loss per given time when compared to regular compressed air, and better heat stability properties providing less pressure deviation under stress (track/fast road conditions)

          Hi,

          no, no need for changes.
Only thing you need to change is the Clutch, for let's say an Sachs Clutch.
DS3R has the same internals as the THP.

The company in France (Vone Racing) now has an stage 5 with 291hp and 425nm
They do no recommend this for daily driving, but with the Stage 4 (260hp and 380nm) there is no problem at all.

Offcourse it's also better to have an look on the brakes and the suspension.

But think, after fitting the Milltek Downpipe and Bastuck Catback, I will keep it by that.
215hp and 360nm is more then enough I would say.
After that will do the Suspension and brakes!

Czar- went to a reputable company- 2 wheels were 15% out of balance
Also- there are no "Spigots" in the wheels (They are TSW Taruma wheels- werent bought new)
How would I know a Spigot was missing, ot even what it is LOL
From what I can understand they are like plastic insert between the wheels and the hubs
They should help the minor vibration at speed to- together with the balancing
            So- thanks for the advice
You never know- you may have saved my necck!

It's literally that, imagine it as a sort of plastic washer that sits on your wheel hub.

They should have been supplied with the wheels as it's my understanding that they allow the alloy to seat more snug on the hub.

Think of them as an adaptor so the hole in the center of the wheel fits over the hub of the car. The hub to wheel fit is what properly centers a wheel on the car not the bolts. They allow the wheel manufactor to produce 1 wheel that with the proper adaptor will fit many different cars. http://www.autoinparts.com/Wheel_nut...897/index.html for some pics, and as Bigfeet says if you needed them they should have come with your rims.

Just take them to any decent tyre/alloy place. If they don't have the size in required for yours it should only take a couple of seconds for them to machine a larger size down to fit.

All they'll need to do is take one wheel off, make four and then send you on your way to fit them at home.
