  • Replacement fog/spot lamps with LEDs?

Since I've uprated the headlights to Philips X-treme Visione these look really dull and yellow and living in a dark, rural area with no street lighting means they're more than handy for illuminating the verges. A trawl on EBay reveals a genuine UK seller here with error free pairs for around £28 which makes them almost 50% more expensive than the headlamp bulbs! Has anyone changed theirs for LEDs and if so, where did you get them?

    Thanks in advance.

You should not have your front fog lamps on unless visibility is seriously reduced. See the link below

Thanks ICF. I was aware they shouldn't be used except in poor visibility after getting pulled one night in my old Peugeot 207 in which I used them as DLRs. The officer was arsy before we got to negotiating and pointed out they were only to be used in fog but got flummoxed when I showed him they were on an in dependent switch so, if his take was correct, why weren't they wired to come on with, rather than before, the fog lamps. Brimming with pride I then got a metaphorical slap when he just said 'turn 'em off or I'll do you!'.

To be fair, I don't use them in street lit areas but round these parts the verges are often indistinct and it's not unusual to get wildlife jumping out. Hitting a bunny is bad enough but we have deer and free roaming horses which are a bit gig to argue with!

      Thanks again for the link.
