Carbon Fibre Chevrons.

Hi all.

After many hours labour i skinned my chevrons and grille surround in real carbon fibre.
Well worth the effort i think.

I'd love to do it to mine but I think I'd end up wanting to wrap all the chrome...

I wouldn't say it was difficult to do, just very time consuming patience is needed!

The parts are wrapped in real carbon fibre, i bought the cloth from a company called easy composites. I used the pro-finish 2/2 twill weave i found this to be the best product for this application.

Also found this. looking on using it as a door edge protector as the doors are quite
large and i'm used to a 4 door. So bound to belt it on a wall or another car.
Also remember seeing a post about protecting the rear bumper from doggy claws
so this may be an option.

Why is Carbon fibre styling all the rage?
Love all the chrome me- shiny and bright- and dont rust like the old days
Would get my wheels chromed up if I knew how to do it

One question Tommy D, you have to take off front bumper to get access to chevrons ?

Sorry for the late replt ROCKLEE, yes the bumper has to be removed the access the chevrons. Once the bumper is removed you will see the reatining clips that need to be manipulated to free them.

Kenny i used a good quality clear lacquer for the top coat.
I just won this on e-bay £46!!!
