Does the existing standard catalytic converter fit into a downpipe, as you can't see it that well from top or bottom?

I know the existing cat is long and all I want to do is be able to put the original back on, to replace the new one which would either put on another DS3 or sell

So in effect have an original, and sports cat that are interchangeable

The cat, sport or original, and the downpipe are one and the same in the case of the THP
