Superchips 110 hdi remap

HI there....

Superchips appear to be offering a remap for the DS3 110 hdi......http://superchipsblog.co.uk/2011/12/...-e-hdi-110bhp/does anyone know if they still need to remove the ECU and pull the case apart to carryout this map or are they able to do it through the OBD socket..?

They will need pull the ecu still...
We can do this now without any soldering but still need to get inside the ecu.

Really.....ill have to make a call on Monday and find out exactly how they actually do the remap....

PS.....just noticed your not a 110 HDI......im sure that makes a differance for remapping.....

Had my old 207 110hdi remapped through the OBD, i'm sure it can be done, I've never used superchips.

Diesel DS3 ecu's have protected tricore processors...
Here's a VAG ecu with this type processor
A small number of this type ecu are now tuneable via OBD but they still need opening up to program a special patch to allow OBD tuning.

all this agg just to eek a few more hp out of them, i thought the megane SAGEM ecu was a bitch to crack but this looks worse..

still it will be worth it in the end..

As suspected and Jamie said......Superchips do infact remap the same as SP Tuning do on the 110hdi.....ecu removal and bench reflash....

It's really not so difficult to do, just a pain when the stealers run a software update and overwrite the remap, having to do it all again to reinstall.
