  • In car camera

Just thinking of getting an in car camera for insurance evidence etc. Some idiot drove into my car when parked and left no details, would have helped if I had a camera running to get his plate. Not sure whether to shell out and get one like a roadhawk, or to get one on ebay for much much cheaper. Also, I'm a bit concerned that it may be a bit of an attraction to thieves. What do people think?

Would they work in a parked ds3 as the eco mode on fag socket radio etc goes on after 30 mins or so

Will be hard-wiring it in, so that shouldn't be an issue!

I have read that you don't really notice the Roadhawk as you put it behind your rear view mirror so it looks to be one unit from outside. My dad has one for his van and while the quality at day is good I doubt it will pick up a registration in the dark. I think your best option is to buy cctv for your house to look over your car if you are that worried... but I doubt it would happen again any time soon.
