Hdi 110 remap

Hi iam thinking about having my hdi 110 dsport remapped, I heard you get about 35-40hp extra and it smothes out the flat spots , could members who have done it please tell me if its worth it. And your experience with the performance and econamy after its done , ALSo has any one had any clutch problems with the extra power , cheers in advance

Best person to speak to is Jamie at SPTuning, he does remaps, is very helpful and offers good advice. Look him up as he is a member here....

Please note that if your motor is within the warranty period then the remap will make it void.

Cheers for the advice , yes it's still in warranty till November 2014 , so I might just wait until then , just wanted a bit feedback off members who have. Had it done ,, thanks

Surely if you take it back with a non engine related warranty issue they won't even know it's been mapped, so therefore the warranty is only void if they find out you have remapped it.

Yep exactly, so you'd need to keep your fingers crossed the dealer doesn't hook it up to a diagnostic machine with an alert mechanic working it

You could always ask Jamie to try and OBD map yours that way you can take the remap off and on when you please eliminating the dealer finding out anything and you keeping from voiding warranty

That would solve everything, and sort out my dilemma. I so want it remapped, but only being 7 months in to the warranty just makes me question it

The problem with a remap is you are opening a whole can of worms, it's all very well have a remap that can be turned on and off but if Citroen find out you will have your DS3 black listed and at worse could face criminal charges of trying to obtain services by deception. The warranty is a legal contract which is the bit most people forget about.

Anyway we have argued these points many a time in previous threads, my suggestion would be have a search and see if the information you're looking for is there.
