  • Installing gauges ...

    Hey all ..

Did anyone install gauges on their DS3 ? .. I'm thinking of installing a boost gauge and an oil pressure gauge on the A pillar .. if anyone had some gauges installed, can u help with the wiring for the gauges , how do can I run it from the engine into the car

or even if u just know how can i do the wiring

    Thanks

Unless you have the forge bov you'll need a splitter to get a feed off the turbo.

Forge also do the exact splitter you'd need on their website.

Might be off course here but isn't it easier to get all you need on a tablet blue toothed from the diagnostic port?
Or is it that gauges look good?

As far as I know an actual gauge would be faster to react to changes and show a more realistic right now reading but most people just want to have a cool looking gauge and do not really do anything with the info so it wouldn't matter anyway.

No reason you could do it with a diesel.. All you need is a turbo.

Yeah I'm going to get that forge splitter, and I do want it for the looks hahahaha :P .. But also to get some info in case something happens to the car, I had two oil leaks from the engine since I owned the car that's why I wanna keep an eye on my oil pressure, as for the boost it's just for the looks

As cyclone said .. Gauges are more reliable and accurate than that Bluetooth thingy

What I was inferring was that bluetooth would be fine for say 95% of all users. They are both accurate just more lag in obd/bluetooth and we are probably talking less than second here.
