    Hey guys and girlies, i want to lower my ds3 soon, how low can i go without changing my shocks?
    I was advised on my saxo not to go lower than 30mm otherwise id be damaging things
    Anyone got the eibach? Thats what im thinking of getting

        Not necessarily bad advice but not totally correct either. When you lower your car you are also shortening the stroke of the shock and putting it in a static position much closer to the end of its travel. The advice to change shocks when drastically lowering is to get some that have been shortened to put the static shock position back in the middle of it's stroke where it was designed to function, good shocks will not just be shortened but valved to to work with the shorter shock stroke and higher spring rates that the lowered car has. By not changing them you will not really be breaking anything but they most likely will wear out sooner. 30-35mm should not be a problem on stock shocks I know plenty of people have this. I do not even know what is available in aftermarket shocks/springs for the DS3. I went right to a coil over setup.

          Looked at coilovers but theyre mega money! £700 is the cheapest i can find unless u have any recommendations?

                Or Bilstein B12 coilover kit £600.00 inc, very nice these
                Fitting at our workshop is extra £100.00 inc

                      Think i shall be coming to you Then haha it will be in novemember as my warranty is up then, say i want to go lower than 30/40mm do u sell the shocks id need?
