Stubby/Bee Sting Aerials for DS3

Hi all

Looking for some advice, I changed my standard DS3 aerial for a C4 (maybe C5 not sure) stubby aerial, the look is great but sadly it does affect radio reception on longer journeys

Has anyone got a link or recommendation for a replacement short/stubby/bee sting aerial that doesn't affect radio reception and remains as good as the current standard fit ones ?

Or, am I being unrealistic in that these short aerials will always bugger up radio reception ?

I have the same issue with mine mate. The C2 lot used to use the aerial off Civic type Rs. Infact Emily has one on her CR-V. I will report back.

I had the GPS aerial off a C5 which again looks smart but was designed for a bi-tunner radio, so you don't get the best of reception.

I just used for shows and photographs









*Still have it lying around in my toolbox I think....

Den - cheers, I don't mind if it's a non standard Citroen aerial as long as it does the job. If all these small aerials are like this I might just go back to the large Citroen one

WTF - cheers that would be really helpful, I did try before posting but my search terms must have been either too general or too specific ! lol I think someone mentioned a decent type at the Lucky 7's meet as well......

Biggie - perhaps that's the one I have ?? It's under 2 inches long and black and is an official Citroen part :confused:

Most likely Chris as the same aerial is fitted to both DS4, C4 and C5.

maybe chris you should keep it and just use for meets/shows etc and use the bigger one for everyday use that's what I do

We do the beesting aerials for Alfa's, not sure on the reception or fitment but I might try one on Monday.

Thanks I have the C5 one currently and locally it's ok but on longer journeys probably where reception isn't so good it's poor
Would be interested to see if the Alfa one is any good
