Side Skirts

Hello all,

Well I learnt that my car was too low the hard way.... My sister has the biggest f*****g speed bumps at her college. Went to see her presentation and scraped over 5 of the things.

I believe in the process it snapped a mudflap and in turn my side skirt came off. I say *believe* because I didn't notice until walking out my house and thinking my car seemed abit high. (Pictures will follow hen I'm back from holiday).

So anyway, I was thinking I might just get replacements from Ross, but I've been looking on the Internet and there are a few after market ones.

Anyone got anything like this fitted? What are your opinions and any suggestions.

They look good from the small picture on that link, my only concern would be as to whether they are bigger and therefore more likely to catch on bumps and lumps

Is it the actual skirts that are broken or just the pegs that clip them in? You can pickup a bag of the clips for about £2 off amazon or ebay.

Ah..probably can't be fixed by buying a bag of clips then lol.

I knocked mine off a few months back and got quoted for a full side skirt around the same prices as above. unlucky

Had the same problems as Zack with my bmw when I worked on an army base. Getting over and around all the barriers every day was a nightmare. Really tore the bottom of that car up.

Loads bumps round here due to the towns 20mph speed limit recently introduced by Green council
If lowered too it may be a nightmare, so will have to do more research
In relation to side skirts, gonna have to check out how much you would gain by taking them off

I would like to lower mine, but unfortunately it would be impossible to get around town here. What this town lacks in hilly landscape, it makes up for with huge-ass speedMOUNTAINS!

Got stuck this morning too, luckily I had the help of an excavator to pull me out of a ditch on-site xD
