Private Registration plates

Just curious to see who has private reg plates and what the thinking behind it was. Currently snooping about for one my ds3.

eg CL10NAS not available but other CL10NA* are!

B16HWD will be on mine in a week when it comes back, put it on retention yesterday when I bought DS.

M11 PTR on mine, M for surname, 11 for month I was born, and PTR for peter.
