So how do the ones that say no hole drilling is required fit. Just stuck are they?
And assume theres some sort of switch which activates on off with the door switch- its just they don't explain on the ads

Might give it a go, as have a live feed by the door anyway, maybe the window live feed (Lucky to have air horn feeds on drivers door me- to under the steering column)

My guess is you need to drill a hole (some with drill bit needed) and then splice into the door feed for power.

Needless to say this mod will make you kiss your warrany goodbye!

So fitting a £20 set of door courtesy lights would negate the warranty if an engine blows up
            That makes sense LOL
I'm sure your right tho Biggus. Altho my Turboback exhaust is OK

Most dealers are fine when it comes to 'bolty' on stuff such as wheels or exhausts, but when you start messing with wiring you're looking at a whole other board game as far as Citroen will be concerned.

Best thing to do Chris is have a quick chat with your dealer and see where they would stand if you car developed a fault and you had this mod fitted.

I'd imagine if you're running it stand-alone then you could remove it easily enough should you need to take the car in so it wouldn't pose an issue.

Re: tampering with the electrics and why this would negate the warranty -

You're working with wires that correct directly to an ECU, if a voltage is awry with this whose to say that this doen't cause the ECU to error and start allowing more pressure, fuel, air, etc.. to be pushed out which could eventually knacker the engine?

I appreciate the above is extremely unlikely but for a company that likes to get out of as much warranty work as they can you can understand why they'd see playing with the electrics they've installed as being an issue.

                        Agreed. Wont touch OEM electrics
I have a feed close by direct from the battery (My air horns LOL)
