Roof thing? Sorry not sure what part you mean. The sun shade piece that hovers over the instruments? For that would need to take out the instrument panel (speedometer/ tach) to get to the screws on inside.

          Hello,

Sorry to revive an old thread, but I've been looking for this information and can't find it (maybe I don't know the right keywords). Does anybody know if there's a tutorial (or photos) anywhere on how to remove the sun shade piece over the instrument cluster? I'm not brave enough to try it on my own lol

          Many thanks.

Put on your man pants and go for it!

It really is straight forwards no secret screws or tricky parts. Review the info in link above from Beefmasta on removing the trim and start! After the trim is off you can see the screws to get instrument cluster out then look in with a light and can see the rest. Will be a confidence booster!
