Ok Chaps, a bit of work on the car this morning.

New plugs in, oil changed, oil filter changed, air filter changed, new discs on and pad replaced Just a point on the oil filter, nice and easy once accessed but the access is a nightmare.

So is the car any different, well it idle far smoother and is considerably quieter, il due the bulbs tomorrow and as mentioned im up to SP Tuning Monday morning. The breaking is nice with no judder, noise or snatching.

    All in all very pleased.

Still to get the tyres changed but obviously had other things to do since arriving home Friday morning.

Im assuming you've done one before. Second time around it would be ok but il admit I needed to look on the tinterweb for the filters location.

No haven't done before on DS3 - Get free servicing but cos the car gets pushed a fair bit, want to do interim 6 month filter and oil change
Have just gone over 6 month
I know the location as been told gotta remove the air filter to get to the oil filter. Also get a new washer for sump plug
Greg Hangar stuck his phone don there and took a photo of filter housing

I took off the top two pipes (leading to air filter and turbo) and its a lot easier. I also used a pretty large socket as getting a spanner on it isn't easy. Some oil does come out but not as much as I thought.

                  No worries

Weather makes my exhaust go from a raspy purr, to a sore throaty sound LOL

Whilst I had the car up yesterday I had a good look at the exhaust as id seen some posts referring to Broken brackets, all looked fine, new even so maybe they were replaced during a service?

There are a few cases of them being replaced under warranty as its an issue OEM
As my exhaust is aftermarket, mines not covered, but they've been swapped for steel clamps anyway

Well that's it all done for the engine (for the moment), a visit to SP Tuning now complete and a totally different car on the way home. Power delivery through the entire rev range is now massively improved, nail the throttle in 3rd and the car literally takes off. Very very impressed, thanks Jamie .
