BS. The DS3 doesn't need this and the lights can be powered directly from the normal headlight lead into the ballast. I've fitted 3 different makes of HID kits on 3 different DS3's and never had an issue.

Agree a correctly done Can Bus compatible hid kit should not through up an error. A non Can Bus or incorrectly made kit will without a doubt cause one.
