I am no expert but have you tried masking tape?

I tried that the top has a gap so it peels off well I masked right to the edge with the masking Tao at the bottom and it went all jagged

I left the bonnet down, newspaper taped about 2 foot round the whole area you gonna spray
Any spray spill comes off with Autoglym adhesive remove- easily, just wipe

The bottom edge is just masking tape. The key to a good job is spend a long time prepping IMO

Clean with methalayted spirits first (Water based cleanser) and do about 8 coats every 45 mins- its a start of day job

            Ah right. with you
I used a razor blade, very carefully. to slice the plastidip away from the masking tape, without cutting into the Perspex headlight cover
            A delicate job

Yes- it truly is plastic, and doesn't come away in a fine line easily.
Gonna spray my complete roof soon, on top of a large decal, and see how that looks

I then fancied pulling off the large decal to leave an imprint of it in shiny black, to contrast with the Plastidip matt black
But as you have found, it doesn't tear easily, so I cant.

                            Looks good :-)
Just as an note (better late than never - didn't see this thread until now)
If you peel the masking tape off just after the final coat of plastidip is applied - While it's still wet, then you get a clean edge when it drys. :-)
