  • Roof wrapping

    Hey..

I'm meeting tomorrow with the guy that's wrapped my previous cars, to choose a new colour for the roof of my DS3 ...

Currently torn between bright red (like the Red edition) or metallic electric blue. What are your thoughts on these two?

    Any comments/other suggestions welcome

Check out Zacks build thread to see what the blue would look like. Somewhere amid all the changes to his car he had this color scheme.

Been today and ended up choosing red! He isn't able to source metallic electric blue, so having gloss red instead. Going to be done next week

In the meantime, how do I detach the aerial base, and the two beams that run along both sides of the roof (where the roof box figment would sit)?

Also, the spoiler is held on both sides via the triangle bits, but is the rest of it bonded to the roof?

                  Thanks in advance,
                  Chris

In the meantime, how do I detach the aerial base From the inside would need to pull the headliner down a little to get at it , and the two beams that run along both sides of the roof (where the roof box figment would sit)? They just pull off

Also, the spoiler is held on both sides via the triangle bits, but is the rest of it bonded to the roof? Not sure but I think it is

                      Thanks in advance,

No offence Chris, but if you are getting your car wrapped by someone properly, they should know how to strip a car.... Also if you really wanted matt metallic blue, I could give you contacts to get it.

Thanks Rick, I should have said that he only asked about them strips, suppose he doesn't want to break them. I could always come down to your work mate, so long as I had mega discount lol.

He actually had "Matt" metallic blue, but I wanted gloss metallic lol. Anyway, excited to get the red done now

                            Cheers though

Well I had my roof done earlier this week, and finally I had a chance to clean the car today, after all the storms etc!

So here's how it looks at the moment. Really love the look of it, subtle but stands out!

Will be putting red centre caps on ASAP to finish it off. I didn't get the grill or mirrors done, as per the Red Edition, I prefer the chrome of the DSport Plus I think... And there's a white DSport RED local to me so have to keep mine looking unique
