Will stronger springs make the DRL's stay on at night?

I know I sound like an absolute tool here, but new to cars and stuff, what is a blow off valve spring?

It is the spring in the blow off valve Seriously though on a turbocharged engine the blow off valve is there because while driving along the turbo is forcing air into the engine through a bunch off pipework and intercooler. So all this stuff is full of air pressure. Now you take your foot off the gas which closes the throttle body. Now the turbo is still trying to force all this air into the engine but it now has nowhere to go with the throttle closed. The Blow off valve ( well recirculation valve in our cars) opens up at this point allowing the pressurized air to escape preventing damage to the turbo. This Spring is part of the control mechanism for that valve. If you really want to know how the valve works it has been covered before but an internet search on how a blow off valve works will provide a ton of info then if still have questions ask

Mmmm No. Dump valve works on the exhaust side to regulate the amount of exhaust gas that goes through the turbo.

What engine do you have? I assume you are referring to the uprated spring that Jamie sells when you say you want one.

Had no clue at all could have been anything with any fuel get all kinds around here. Especially like when people say I have the 1.6l; like there wasn't about 5 different 1.6l engines in the DS3. Why do you not throw it in additional info in your profile so appears under your name? Be proud of that racing! cool cars.

                        So then Jamie.....
Having swapped out the internals for the G valve internals, and using the new spring, the acceleration seems a little smoother
But the Forge recirc is piston driven, so no diaphragm to erode, and will it perform better?
                        Is it worth the £200

G valves are only £40 or so, I think 2 of these would easily outlast 1 Forge valve.
                          Forge valve needs regular servicing.
I had the Forge valve on ours now for 6 months or so...I think the G valve does perform slightly better.

Good to know- will swap out after another 20k miles then
What servicing does the Forge need?... does look good tho the Forge

Certainly looks interesting, and the diaphragm is gone
There are a few around other than Forge
Not into the blow off sound myself. Smooth silent acceleration

Ed- Not sure bout using the existing solenoid tho
