How do you change the mood lighting bulb in the centre of the dashboard?

You will need to remove the centre console first followed by the forward fascia panel in order to get at the LED bulb that hides in that part of the car....I should never have doubted the Lord of Bacon!!

You are dead right - I did this operation last weekend - and there was a lot of swearing.
Issues I found:
Prising back the trim (without damaging it) to get at the nut (13mm I think) at the rear of the centre console
Getting the block connector disconnected from the USB/Audio out socket. Took me ages to work out what bit to press to release it
Top Tips:
Remove the radio
DON'T accidently touch the SOS button - it doesn't always cancel when you do, and then you get embarrassed & have to apologise to the operator when they call you back - remove the block connectors from both switches and you will avoid this
You need Torx keys to undo the screws
PULL the gear knob off
Once the Centre console has been removed, lift and remove the sound deadening shroud from around the gear stick.
Have a brush ready to clean the carpets (bits that you can't get at when the centre console is in place) before you reassemble
It's not actually that bad once you work all of this out - honestLast edited by johnsop1; 12-03-2014, 18:00.
