  • White smoke after PCV modification

    Good Morning
Yesterday i did both PCV modification..front i used a catch can..for back(under airbox) i closed that holes with PSA caps.. Today while i was on traffic, i notice white smoke from my exhaust.. for some minutes a lot of white smokes no particulary smells just like exhaust smell...After some kilometers i noticed that white smoke finished to come out..and all good..its normal that white smoke? what do you think?

One modification at a time- them you can see where problem is!
PCV delete not recommended on newer cars
Catch can will cause no problems

Give it some time- see what happens

would do all changes one at a time- not all at once ?
White smoke is usually oil burning my personal view - altho others will not agree. It may also be condensation
        But watch it

Yes- you should have completed each modification one at a time- then you can see which one was a problem?
No more modifications until you know the problem..... if i were you :-)

Smoke will linger and have a smell. if it is condensation turning to steam, it will only happen when Engine is cold and Weather is cool. Steam from the Exhaust is normal on DS3's the exhaust tends to create a lot more condensation than other cars for some reason.

Catch can will cause no problems- i have one, and will fit another soon
How old is you petrol car? Newer ones from 2012 are not recomended PCV delete
Older ones. may not be best to delete both front and rear together

Don't do rear PCV delete, causes excess pressure in crankcase. What you are describing is blow-by gasses from burning oil. I did it too, but got rid off it. Now I am running both front and rear PCV to one catch can which seems to work fine.

After that i made a connection with a T-piece with back valve hole and front valve hole with OCC and then i made Vacuum Effect with Front turbine aspiration. I closed back hole on intake mainfold....This is pic of what i done...

Perfect..but..after some miles..about a couple...when exhaust is warm up i can see and smell only a couple of white blow from exhaust..then...also after more miles i stop car in line for a light..no more white smoke or anything else...dont know what the hell is this...I checked everything..water is ok..oil is ok..temperature is about 100 Celsius and then go down...(normal work with traffic)..everything is good...but dont know what is that smoke..
Oh..i forgot to tell you that i dont have Kat....

Could also be just steam? Or then you have a e.g. coolant leakage
