THPs really dont like very cold starts. You can get a light tapping sound from the engine, the colder it is. Had this on mine last winter, and had it once or twice when colder this last couple weeks. Guessing that the oil hasnt warmed and done a full circle of the engine, so i let it warm for a minute or so (More if i can) before i drive off. Dont go above 2000 revs till the engine temp is centre gauge.

The noise does go after a 100 metre drive- has done every time so far
And in the Summer- dont get the noise

When warm- its as per... FAB

Just seen the post, they are great photos, really good quality and love the car against the harsh, dark concrete car parks....brilliant.
