          Citroen (or GEFCO more likely) spray a waxy like fluid over the car to help protect them against bird dropping and general dirt while in transit. We use a special fluid designed to breakdown the wax. My guess is that you will bound to have some sort of traffic film remover or something similar which should remove the wax.

          Here's an idea of how mucky cars can get in transit
