Car looks really good. What products did you use?

      1) Car washed using Karcher K2 compact washer and regular nozzle(not the patio attachment!)

      2) then 1tsp of Chemical Guys Citrus Wash and Gloss purchased from Clean Your Car. co.uk, in a 5ltr bucket of hot water(loads of suds) and applied with a noodle mitt.

      3) then all washed off using power washer and dried with Dodo Juice towel which is super absorbent microfibre towel which leaves no streaking and can be machine washed and air dried.

      4) Usually use Auto Glym Wheel Cleaner prior to washing and finish off all vinyl exterior areas using Auto Glym Vinyl Cleaner from my wife`s car care kit! All done using clean and dry micro fibre cloths.

This all takes 30 mins so is handy if you are about to go visiting relatives etc. This is quick and by no means a proper detailing session.

Nope, Powerwash, Soap working from roof downwards, Powerwash, Dry, Vinyl polish and that`s it! 30 mins tops.

What I didn`t say was that I do still have annoying resin spots on my gloss roof vinyl ... any suggestions as I do not want scratching or damage from trying to remove these stubborn spots! Don`t think Clay bar would work well on a gloss vinyl roof!

You have a vinyl roof? What was the original colour?

Original colour was gloss black and is now covered with gloss black vinyl.

It may seem daft, the short version of the story of my roof is:

Birds did their droppings on roof, roof paint was damaged by acid of droppings, Citroen kindly resprayed roof under warranty which was actually original gloss black, once resprayed I decided to protect my roof paint, whilst keeping the original look, with gloss black 3M vinyl fitted by Reade Signs of Aldershot. Paint is protected, vinyl can be replaced periodically. Job done. Vinyl is matched very well to original black paint.
