  • Our 'New' DS3 Sport

    Hi everyone,

Great club. Am hoping we are the only Kiwi members you've got!?

Here are some photos of our 'new' DS3 Sport. This is a 2011 model. It's fair to say it's a heavenly thing to own!

When we bought it we had it GardX'd inside and out by the Local Citreon dealer and it came up like a new car. We also had it serviced. Some of the latter photos are around 2 months in to ownership having washed the car: it comes up great.

It's had a new timing chain and tensioner courtesy of Citroen. Unbelievably they did it under warranty even though we didn't buy it from them: they did it about four weeks after the car was GardX'd. It's also had new Yokohama's all round. After the cam chain was fitted it was a bit lumpy and not quite as quick and would hesitate fractionally if blipping the throttle. Diagnostics at Citroen showed nothing but eventually I spotted some slight oil vaporisation on the rocker cover and this was traced back to the connection where the oil breather pipe meets the rocker cover. It runs brilliantly now! A great machine with some real character and vastly underrated.

Loving the Forums and the Club - keep up the good work.

Thanks Jez! The smooth running has only lasted a few days...i suspect there are more breather issues. Still, we love it all the same. What great cars!

Thanks Noo. Yes, the wife and i were smitten from the get go. They are getting more popular here slowly. The grey is nice as it looks different depending on the light... it also hides the dirt!!
