Looking to get an intercooler for my racing question I have is that do I need to map out the fan on the existing intercooler if not will it cause the engine light to come on cheers

Is there any way to trigger the stock intercooler fan ON earlier via ECU map or to install some sort of separate switch to turn ON/OFF the intercooler fan on during hot summer days?
