Looks great Gilly, and very good colour combo if I do say so myself. i get loads of people coming up to me asking about it and saying how much they like the colour, think it's because you don't see that many. Have fun!

Gilly, that looks very very nice!

Please don't use a sponge or a leather on it, that nice gloss will go with either of those.

I like that indeed, I wouldn't mind running a rotary over that for you, just a quick 7 hour job, and then the depth would look really superb, almost 'wet'.

OK if you want my advice for your Sunday clean, get two brand new buckets, a nice mitt from Halfords (best one they've got) and the softest drying towel they have. After washing, pat it dry, (dont' drag your towel over it), then apply a nice wax, with a proper applicator, then use a soft buffing towel to buff the wax. Halfords stock Autoglym HD wax, a decent wax for the money.

          Nice, nice, nice :-)

          Regards,
          Clive.

As your in the trade, you'll know an hour means ur on a massive go slow! Check everything works, torque wheels, fill up levels, check underneath, put on caps, tyre pressures, plates, tune radio on road test round the block = 10 -20 mins tops! Techys arent on bonus for nothing!
I don't want to get dragged into anything, but I've worked at four different dealerships and I've never seen anyone PDI a car within 20 minutes.... You must move like lighting.

Thanks for the offer Clive, how you fixed for Sunday?

Have already got the bits you mention, only thing I have not yet done, is to buy a rotary. Will get one soon and practice on an old car! The towel I use to dry the car is better than the ones I use on myself.

By the way, I follow the DW forum and love the work some of those chaps do!

The one thing I always remember from detailing world was the dude with the nur astra vxr who spent like 3 days cleaning it till it was perfect an then a day posting up hundreds of photos. Guy was nuts, took it to another level of obsessive haha
