  • Replacement DS3

After having my yellow/white DS3 totalled, I replaced it with another slightly different one. The 5 star ENCAP rating is justified, as both me and my passenger only had a few bruises after being hit by a BMW doing about 110+ mph.

    Alison,

Thank Goodness you and your passenger were ok! and what a testament to the safety rating!

Nooooooooooo - not a totalled yellow!!!!

(PS I think the pink arrows on the front indicating the damage are a trifle redundant!)

But seriously, it's great to hear that you're both OK.

Ouch. How fast we're you travelling at the time?

Glad you both made it ok. Heartbreaking but pleased you have moved on. Quite a striking difference.

Jeees- that looks nasty. Real good news you are OK
Looks like the chassis could be compromised their- possible write off (Not sure I would accept a rejigged chassis)
See you went into something at the front too?

          Nice decals on the replacement

ive been repairing cat c writeoff's for yrs now but one thing i would'nt do is straighten a chassis it isnt worth doing as it weakens it unless you reinforce it simple reason being is if it was hit anywhere near the same area again it would'nt take the stress levels

glad you are both safe nice new car byr the way

                      very true mate
ive seen some bad repairs in my time ive even talked people out of buying a car off some forecourts for the same reason where they havnt seen the repair but the car looks fine to the untrained eye.

I was doing about 48 in 50 mph zone, and was hit by a black BMW 5 series doing well in excess of 100! I've now got a bit of a dislike of all BMW drivers.
