My new DS3 THP with red callipers : )

Recently joined you lot by buying a DS3 which has turned out to be the best drive I've ever had. Last week I sent her off to the garage to get her brakes painted red. Happy with her new look

Did you put any black (heatproof) decals on as well?

Didnt put the Bellones back on mine, either- swapped wheels at same time
Best time to paint the calipers, when they are brand new, and sparkling clean
I do them twice a year at least (More TBH) - will swap wheels over and paint mine red before end of April

I bought the ETech paint from Amazon and did mine myself, they look great on the all black DS3s !

They've got the white decals on them. The Citroen wording on the front set, just the arrows on the back set. Loving the red on black look.

Cost was just under £400 for paint, decals labour and replacement car whilst the work was carried out. Car was off the road for three days. I missed it, but was chuffed when I got it back : )

Stickers: Circa £5-£10 MAX.

'Labour' (lol): 1 - 2 Hours MAX ( No idea why the car was off the road for 3 days ) Local garage rate £40/hour

All in all if a local garage had done this then you shoudn't be looking at paying anything more than £100 - which for the SIMPLE job that it is doesn't warrant anywhere near that price anyway. I can only assume the £400 you've paid is for new pads and new discs all around, supplied and fitted too ?

I paid over the top a little for the ETech paint £18ish I think and a few quid for the decals from ebay but it was easy to do and deffo cost no more than £25 for me to paint my own....

Seems a large difference if they are painted, hopefully the garage didn't take the pee ?
