HDi Injector Problems??

Diesel injection guy has told me that its An injector problem and that on the pre ignition cycle of the injector just before the main burst of fuel is blocked hence the rattle. Anyone heard or had the same issues. :-)

I turn my car on to experience a minutes worth of shaking... unless I either hold the throttle up on idle or stick it in reverse.. also just watched your vid. My car does exactly the same thing !!

Mine sounds like that rattle but not as loud inside of the car when i accelerate it sounds like a blowing manifold or front pipe joint then goes quiet at around 3000revs but when you back off the pedal i get that ticking sound that you are experiencing really peeved now like guys. :-)

It's defo injectors as mine does the same and the ecu flagged up a few P codes but my local mechanics wiped them off the system.. The ecu hasn't detected mine ever since but citroen has said to me the second the Ecu flags it up will will get u 4 new injectors and a few other things under warranty

Ive got the 110 hdi and i noticed mine sounded different on idle then when coming off accelerator rolling the tappy noise happens, gonna book mine in with citroen as warrenty expires next month :/

Been doing some reading about the sound as mine is still ticking, its just done it again today rolling in 3rd gear aroud 35/30mph in gear but when i hold the clutch down and coast it stops. Could it be the injectors still as im starting to think its transmission related? Warrenty is out in less then a month so really want to get it sorted asap. The sound is definatly from the front, and sounds like a card in a bicycle wheel and drives me crazy but it seems to be imtermitant?!

might be worth getting an extended warranty

Do you know how much this would cost?
Im still reading alot on the internet about it and other people on forums have had same symtoms as this and turns out to be either a chiped tooth on the gears or the differential is damaged. Looks like it could be an expensive fix!?

I'd book it into the dealer and offer to take them out in it to illustrate what noise you're hearing

It was in for its 1st mot yesturday and to try and find a problem with it, i took a mechanic out for a spin and he heard it straight away. When i collected the car it passed mot but needs a new anti roll bar for the knocking but they said they couldnt find what caused the ticking...typical. Think i should rebook in and use a courtesy car untill they fix it otherwise my warrenty will expire and il have the bill on my hands
