Stop start query

Hi guys,

Ok I have a question on the stop start system....I know it depends of various parameters to be in check for the stop start to work but mine only seems to turn the engine off for around 20 seconds max. Could it be the warm temps we are having at the mo? Ive tried turning aircon off, not holding on the footbrake etc. So has anyone any suggestions's? Car is a 2013 115 e-hdi

Yes you are right, temperature is one of the factors used within Stop & Start which includes being too hot as well as being too cold.

The set-up for the system is very simple so in terms of there being a failure I would doubt it, your system is working within the parameters as it should be doing.

Does the stop start dip the headlights or is it my imagination? Seems every time i put my foot back on the clutch they dip and brighten again?

Could just be the current draw from the battery dimming the lights
