My car needs a new set of boots and I've been looking around and have pretty much settled on the Goodyear F1 A2, but I was wondering should I go with the 205/45/17 or could I get away with 215/45/17, I mean the difference would be 10mm wider and 4.5mm bigger profile, so pretty negligible, but they are like £35 cheaper so I'd save £140 on a whole set, not to be sniffed at really, could get a few other things done for that.

215/45/17s fit the Bellone OK, so i would. Went for 40 profiles myself, altho speedo's out by about 3mpph.sigpicJog on Noddy -
215/40? They would be a closer fit to the originals than the 215/45 I think from reading around, however they don't make the F1 A2's in that size and I pretty much have my heart set on them.Originally posted by Chris_Blue View PostComment

If your hearts set on them, get them, I waited 4 months to get a good deal on my tyres. Well happy pushing them to the limit.sigpicJog on NoddyComment
