First of all whenever i turn on the air con the car seems to lose power..it feels like the engine has a difficulty in working,like its suffering,(no change on revs or speed just seems to work easier when air con is off) especially on low speeds..is this the way the cars work or I should have it checked?

Also some times 1gear and 2gear become very heavy and changing between them becomes heavier in town..is this the way the cars work or I should have it checked?

Mine has a bit of both- with the aircon on startup, I assumed it was drawing on the battery, and the gearbox has always been a bit clunky, and was even remarked as so on Top Gear when it was launched.

Would imagine your Aircon has to work extra hard, so to get to the temp you want, as outside may well be a tadge hotter than over here LOL

Some times my 1st and 2nd work like cutting butter,sometimes like I'm operating levers on a rusty crane...
