  • ABS and ESP/ARS warning

    Hi all
Yesterday on my way to work I heard a beep and the abs and esp warning lights in my speedo came on and the warnings were displayed.
Is this a big problem or a sensor malfunction when I swiched the car off it went away but when I went out this morning it was back same again switched off the
    ignition and it went away.

    Any help greatly accepted thanks.

Would hazard a guess that the ESP is kicking in to stop the wheels skidding, as when that happens the ESP light flashes on and off
The lights also come on for a bit when ignition is first on, to test the lamps are OK

No- they wouldnt. Trip to the dealers i think
What pictures come up- is it the car with the tyre marks underneath

Best take it in methinks- thought it was the ESP (Electronic Stability Programme) kicking in to stop the tyres skidding in the wet

I'll have a look behind the wheels on satuarday, no warranty as its a 60 plate.
Sounds like quite a expensive fix through a dealer only had it 6 months.

Dont think they charge to have a look- just tell you what it would cost
Have you an Android phone- theres an App called Torque pro that cots about £6 which you can link up to your ECU to diagnose fault codes?
                    Sounds difficult, but isnt really

Might just be engine fault codes the ECU monitors- not sure
