  • Err I think Something is broken...

I have a rather oily top of the intercooler where the hose goes, looks like the oil could possibly be coming from the hose?

Looks like ANOTHER trip to Shitron.... *sigh*

Anyone got any clues as to what happened here, guess it would explain the loss of oil I've had!

EDIT: the car has done 33k now.

Have you had it serviced recently? they might have been really clumsy and spilt oil everywhere.
Spray down the engine bay with degreaser, let it soak and rinse off. If the oil keeps coming back, then yep... you got some worries.
    Any loss of power?
also check your oil level is not low. If this is a leak from somewhere, you don't want to get stranded somewhere because you ran out of oil.

Cant see it being the intercooler, thats all about air, its a leak from somewhere my guess
Have you tried looking at the spill area whilst revving the engine?

Won't intercooler pipes pic up a small trace of oil? And sure if it's a lot of oil in the boost pipes means turbo seals

HDI's chuck plenty of oil round the intake pipes and intercooler, that's normal... And that does look like intercooler is leaking...filthy diesels!!!

I service it so its not me pouring oil down there ;-)

I have had to top it up so yes it is leaking!

Took it to Citroën today techie thinks it's the black fabric hose that's split, its going in next Friday for proper investigation and repairs.

Turns out the seam between the plastic top and the metal had split!
All fixed under warranty, no problems.
