So currently my headlights look like this .

I've purchased some H7's for the main / dipped beam. They're white light ones , not the best like in terms of price but they look good.

What do people recommend for the side lights, and what spec are they ?

    H1, 12v , 55w ?

    Correct ?

    Cheers guys.

I think they're 501 bulbs. Search 501 or 5W5. LEDs are the best to match your headlights

on one of the adverts on ebay it says that a resistor might be required if you buy the led side light... is that correct, or does it not matter, all i want is a nice bright white, not the original yellowy white.

Just make sure you get can bus leds and all will be fine. Otherwise you get blinking lights and other weird stuff going on. The resistor is how you you would get non can bus leds to work correctly. The can bus ones have it built in already.

I've been having problems with leds lately. Various types of canbus ones. So I've decided to buy the resister units separately and try normal, non canbus leds as you can get more in a set for the same price. Might work out cheaper in the long run. It might not. It might not even work at all but will let you guys know if the resistor packs work when they come

all i want is an ordinary type bulb, not led type, that will give me just a bright white light, without any hassles!!... am i looking for the impossible, or can someone point me in the right direction.

                  Hi,

I got Philips H1 Purple conversion for my 2014 DS3 120 VTi D-Style. The bulbs didnt fit any suggestions on what to get?
As long as they are purple. The H7's Already changed not 100% purple just a nice glow and a lot brighter than the factory!!

                  Regards

                  Alan

Philips BlueVision W5W bulbs will do a good job. The bulbs are blue but the light is a lot whiter. Mine have just gone and I've had to put the original ones in and they're horrible.
There are Philips WhiteVision now and they do main/dipped bulbs too so I might give them a go next.
